It's Been A While...
It's been a while since my last posting. I am in Kosovo now and finally have internet in my room, so I'll be able to update this a lot more.
So what's been happening? Well...
We got to Germany and things were not as bad as I thought they would be. We did not stay in tents like I thought we would. I was in a two man room as a matter of fact and it was nice. The food there was absolutely terrible. I don't think I ate 3 meals in a day for the entire time I was there. The training was awesome though. Very tiring, but very good. I will include pictures here.
Kosovo however is great so far. The food is wonderful and I have a two man room here as well. I have the room layed out were we have privacy, it's almost like I have my own room. The best thing of course is that I have wireless internet in my room. I can talk with Angie through the internet and it is great. The whole time in Germany I was only able to talk to her a few minutes a night and it sucked. We now talk every night as well as email and instant message. It make the deployment a little more bearable that I can here her voice more often. We have webcams, but the internet here is not currently fast enough to support both voice and video at the same time. They are suppose to double the speed next month.
This is the first Christmas in my 30 years of living that I am not with family. It's a little tough, but I am here doing a good thing for people and it will be worth it when I am done. I'll just take it one day and a time and before long I'll be on my way home.
Well, until next time...
