Long Days

Well, we are here at Fort Hood and things are pretty wild. I have been going through mobilization processing for the last few days. I am serving as both a Platoon Leader and Battery Signal Officer, so I am having some long days right now.

I don't mind though, it makes the day go fast. I am really enjoying leading soldiers.

All is well here and spirits are high. We start doing some real training next week and that will make the days more fun for the soldiers.

Everyone if pretty excited about our time here, but they are really ready to get overseas.

until next time!!!

Time To Roll

The time has finally arrived. Tomorrow we leave for Fort Hood where we will begin our training for this deployment. I can't believe it is time to leave already.

I am very excited about my platoon. They are a top notch bunch and I think we will have no trouble with the missions we receive.

The Countdown!

15 August - Three days until mobilization.

Time is getting short and I am quickly realizing how much I have left to do. It is a little scary to realize that I am leaving home for 18 months in just three days. I'll give everyone an address as soon as I have one.

Thank you all for the kind words and prayers you have given me.

Billy
